Published in Issue 62, Vol.3 of Roll Up Magazine, this project responds to the saying that men “don’t get flowers until their funeral,” exploring how care, vulnerability and emotional openness are often denied to men, particularly Black men. Through the contrast of flowers and formalwear, the editorial softens traditional ideas of masculinity, presenting Black male identity in a more tender, intimate and human way.
